Blue Paint

Sometimes ideas lurk at the back of my mind. Every now and again they flit out, sniff the air,  judge the time unripe and scurry back into that warm huddle of embryonic madcap schemes. However. sometimes things change. Sometimes ideas meld together, pennies drop and hitherto problematic processes become laughably simple. Then, upon poking their noses tentatively out into the bright light of day, certain ideas find fertile fields awaiting them…

Such was the case with this photo. The core photo of the girl holding out her blue hands never really fully worked for me. Something was missing. At the same time, one of these ideas was nagging me… sticking things onto or applying paint to photo prints and re-photographing them… Well, yesterday, the two came together and this was the result.
